This unique concert features curated works spanning over four centuries, tracing the evolution of these important keyboard instruments. Enjoy some great music, lively historical commentary, and come up onstage afterward to view these instruments up close and personally!
An Evening with Mary Mondlock
Menomonie-native Mary Mondlock returns to the Mabel Tainter stage, where her artistic journey began! A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and Baldwin Wallace Conservatory's Musical Theater program, Mary brings a wealth of experience from NYC stages, regional theaters and international performances with Holland America Line. Terminal 3
Three skilled musicians unite to create "progressive world music," blending ancient and modern influences. Greg Herriges, a guitar and bouzouki virtuoso, draws from global styles. Louis Sinclair, aka Rundio, plays the versatile Chapman Stick, while Michael Bissonnette showcases a range of percussion instruments. Their music spans Mediterranean folk, classic rock, surf-jazz, and original compositions. Herriges is an acclaimed composer, Rundio combines ambient and jazz elements, and Bissonnette is a celebrated drummer with a diverse background.
Joyann Parker - Classic Ladies of Country
With roots in the church and a solid foundation of musical education, Joyann Parker found her authentic voice later in life and created her own blend of roots music that combines soul, R&B, gospel, jazz and traditional blues styles. Parker has been a steadily rising star on the Midwest music scene and now brings her full range of talent as an accomplished singer, pianist, guitarist and songwriter to national and international stages.
Steely Dane
Winner of multiple awards for best tribute band, Steely Dane is dedicated to not only faithfully reproducing the Steely Dan and Donald Fagen songbook, but to bringing an energetic live-show experience to the crowd. The music of John Denver is timeless and well known. Layne Yost's "Tribute to the Music of John Denver" is a faithful tribute that pays homage to the music and the man. Yost, McDowall, and Shimoda capture the simple soul of Denver's music through guitar, fiddle, and upright bass arrangements. Woven within the music are stories that give insight into Denver's life and legacy. A wonderful show that will take you back and remind you of simple things that remain true.

Chris Herriges

Chris Herriges began playing various musical instruments at age nine, at the gentle urging of artistic parents. Over the years, he has put out multiple CD’s and performed throughout the Twin Cities. He continues to perform today, and will be in the Spirit Room on September 27th at 7PM!

The Cathy Reitz Trio features Cathy on vocals/Melodica and 2 of her favorite musicians, Jeff Reitz on woodwinds and Emily Watkins on guitar/vocals or Nick Poss on piano. They are both favorites of ours. We have been performing together for over 20 years. Our song list covers over 100 years of great music, the Roaring 20’s to the 2020’s.

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils: The Final Tour
The Ozark Mountain Daredevils have been aptly described as “a ragtag collection of hippies, bohemians, and musicians of no fixed ambition.” They have always been indefinable in terms of music genres, producing sounds of country-rock and electric bluegrass all on the same record; writing lyrics both whimsical and poetic, singing harmonies that would send shivers up your spine.
"Take That Back" Album Release Concert
Take That Back started as the meeting-of-the-minds of two veteran musicians, Joan Hutton and Sue Orfield. Drawn together by a passion for original music, both bandleaders are composers and improvisers, each with her own unique musical voice. Joan Hutton plays bass clarinet and alto sax and Sue Orfield plays the tenor sax. They joined creative forces with an incredible rhythm section of some of the Twin Cities’ busiest players–Ted Godbout (piano), Kameron Markworth (bass), and David Schmalenberger (drums)–and together they released an album of original music in 2022 (Take That Back, Shifting Paradigm Records) and have a new album scheduled for release on Shifting Paradigm in July, 2024.

Tim Case

Tim Case is a folk-inspired, country-adjacent singer/songwriter from Wisconsin. Born and raised in Beloit to a public school teacher mother and factory foreman by day/Pentecostal minister by night father, his original songs - whether tender personal narrative, classic story-song, or good old fashioned barroom lament - are rooted in a perspective that is uniquely his own. As a songwriter he takes inspiration from the subtle complexities of everyday life, with artful lyrics that probe heavy topics - family, fatherhood, love, and loss - with a light, often humorous touch.
Jake Shimabukuro
By now, if you know the ‘ukulele, you might know the name, the innovator who is Jake Shimabukuro. He has captivated audiences around the world with his unique and dynamic style. With his mother as his first teacher of the instrument, Jake embraced a deep love and respect for the `ukulele and has explored new and unexpected ways to push the boundaries of what was possible on the humble four-strings. He is undoubtedly one of the most innovative and exciting musicians of his generation, changing the perception of the instrument itself and breaking barriers of what kind of music it is capable of.
Isaiah May

Isaiah May is a producer, singer-songwriter, and violinist from Dunn County Wisconsin currently studying music production at Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts. He has co-written and produced many tracks for other artists as well as playing in many artist's bands. He released one original album entitled "East Coast Island Postcard" in 2022.

Jim “Doc” Miller is a Menomonie Wisconsin based singer/acoustic guitarist who plays original "folk rock flavored" material as well as performing (and telling the stories behind ) a wide and eclectic range of covers drawn primarily from the "Woodstock" era of the 60's and 70's
Pine & Fire, Cap'n Seabeard, and King Sized Coffin
‘Cap’n Seabeard originated as the solo songwriting and performing of Christopher Schumacher, but has evolved over the years to being a trio more recently. For this show, the lineup will even expand to include a fourth surprise member and a guest appearance by a dear friend of the band. On August third, the trio of Christopher Schumacher on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jon Talberg on lead guitar and Maria Lewis on bass will be joined by Brett Miller on drums and a guest appearance by Ben Mohr on second lead guitar.

Sherry Lynn

Sherry has been a music educator, performer, vocal arranger and songwriter for over 30 years. She has been a church music director in Wisconsin, Nashville, and Chicagoland. Her vocal stylings have been highly influenced by Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt, and Emmylou Harris. She is a singer with Chorale a NouvEAU in Eau Claire and performs solo gigs in the Chippewa Valley as Sherry Lynn.
Pam Tillis
As the daughter of Country Music Royalty, Pam Tillis was determined from a young age to find her own way in music as a singer and songwriter. After many false starts with her own recording career, Tillis came to the attention of Tim Dubois who headed up the Nashville office of Arista records.
