Attending a Board Meeting

The first item of business during each monthly meeting of the Board of Directors, unless designated a closed session, shall be an opportunity for public comment. During this time, members of the public are allowed to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes on an agenda item. If a member of the public wishes to speak on an item not on the agenda, it must be submitted to the board at board@mabeltainter.org 5 business days prior to the board meeting date. If received less than 5 business days prior to the board meeting, it is within the Board's discretion whether an opportunity to speak will be granted. Members of the public do not need to provide advance notice of attendance for public comment, but advising the Board in advance will permit the Board the opportunity to ensure adequate seating. Once public comment has concluded, public attendees will be dismissed from the Mabel Tainter Board of Director’s meeting.
