From the late 1600's to the 1840's, thousands of voyageurs sang as they paddled furs and trade goods across the North American continent. Their repertoire comes from a huge collection of paddling, dancing, working, and playing songs that form the basis of this exciting historical overview of the fur-trade era. The current Les Fils Du Voyageur have come from the extensive research of music professor Bill Otis dating back to 1974. Dressed in period garb, these Voyageurs have sung their way throughout the midwest and beyond. Ride along as these “Edu-tainers” reflect on the dreams, joys, sorrows, work, and play in the everyday life of a voyageur.
