Namji Kim is professor of piano at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with First Prizes in piano, chamber music, and harmony. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School, and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed in master classes given by Olivier Messiaen. A prizewinner at the International Beethoven Piano Sonata Competition and a finalist in many international piano competitions, Namji’s concert schedule has included performances around North America, Europe, Ukraine, and Korea, where in addition to her recitals she appeared on television and radio broadcasts. She has appeared as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kharkiv at the Grand Hall of Philharmonia, Kharkiv, Ukraine under the direction of Vakhtang Jordania and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Texas Christian University under the baton of Geoffrey Simon. She has published five scholarly reviews on music, philosophy, and theology in the Boston College Journal, Religion and the Arts. Her CD recording of Gabriel Fauré’s 13 Barcarolles was released by Centaur Records in 2020.
Guitarist Jeffrey Jaworski teaches guitar and ukulele as part of the Voyagers After School program at Chippewa Falls Middle School. Recent performances include programs in Milwaukee, River Falls and Eau Claire, WI. Jeffrey studied classical guitar at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha where he earned his Associate’s Degree and at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. In addition to playing the guitar Jeffrey enjoys volunteering, hiking, bicycling, snowshoeing, and viewing wildlife.
