Pine & Fire is a D.I.Y. folk music duo from the north woods of Minnesota. Currently based in Minneapolis (though longing for a return to the north), they blend traditional folk music influences with a modern punk sentiment, creating a unique and driving sound. Together they sing original songs woven with themes of love, escapism, home, family, and growth. In May 2024, Pine & Fire released their first full-length album, Songs From the North Country, a project that defines and refines the Pine & Fire sound and showcases their growth over six years. When they aren’t home recording new music or loving on their dogs Pine & Fire can be found on the road playing their way across the country.
‘Cap’n Seabeard originated as the solo songwriting and performing of Christopher Schumacher, but has evolved over the years to being a trio more recently. For this show, the lineup will even expand to include a fourth surprise member and a guest appearance by a dear friend of the band. On August third, the trio of Christopher Schumacher on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jon Talberg on lead guitar and Maria Lewis on bass will be joined by Brett Miller on drums and a guest appearance by Ben Mohr on second lead guitar.
