A new exhibit is in the Studio Gallery! Celebrate with Elizabeth Gross Hinchberger at the official Artist Reception this Saturday, June 11th from 4-5PM.
Bio from the Artist:
My name is Elizabeth Gross Hinschberger. I presently reside in Elk Mound, Wisconsin with my husband John. Born in St. Paul, MN, I moved to Appleton at 7 where I grew up. My heritage is German-Irish and lineage is of musicians, writers, photographers and visual artists. Born a creative visual artist, it's been my life. I am of a graduate from UW-Stevens Point, and studied under the direction of Gary Hagen, Dan Fabiano, Dan Phalen, and Herbert Sandman, etc. They gave me my direction and are American Artists of past and present. In high school I studied privately with Philyis Davidson, a past American Artist and Sister Mariella at Xavier High where I attended high school. My dad was my first mentor at age 2 learning to draw shapes and colors...I loathed COLORING BOOKS as a little girl and to this day. I was always coloring out if the line and never colored "pretty" like everyone else.
I have had a show at the Pump House in LA Crosse, the art gallery in West Salem, Wisconsin. I have had work in Arts West and the Confluence in Eau Claire. In high school, I had work in Solastic Art Magazine, Milwaukee Journal Art and student regional art shows. I would like to acknowledge photographers Josh Bryant, and Patricia McQuillian from Eau Claire and Menomonie, Mark Hartman from Madison and Master Sipos Lorand who I currently work with from Hungary for giving me permission to use their photos as guides in my inspirations.
