The Menomonie Art Music Society requests the pleasure of your company at the Mabel Tainter Theater, downtown Menomonie, for a program of classical music. The Music in March performance will have a theme of alliteration since many of the musicians will present composers whose names start with the letter M or compositions that have an M in the title such as the composers, Mozart and Mendelssohn, or minuet (a dance), the Merry Go-Round of Life, Mist, etc.
There is no charge, but a free-will donation is appreciated in order to cover expenses. Refreshments will follow the recital. There will be music for voice, piano, organ, woodwinds, and strings, provided by local musicians and music students. Included are the UW-Stout’s Blue Flutes, 3 different string quartets, Juliana Schmidt, mezzo soprano, Nancy Wellington, organ, Mark Wacek, baritone, Oxana Khramova, piano, Gavin Hall, baritone, and more.
Menomonie Art Music Society exists to promote and perform classical music, and to educate audiences in the community about this marvelous genre. Local music students and experienced musicians perform on Art Music Society programs not only giving it an educational element but giving musicians in the community an opportunity to present classical music.
