Mabel Tainter Welcomes New Leadership
The Mabel Tainter Board of Directors is excited to announce they have chosen a new Director of Operations, Lucas Chase. A Menomonie native and Menomonie High School grad, Lucas has most recently served as the Programming Chair for the Mabel Tainter as well as a Mabel Tainter Board Member since 2018.
Lucas graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa—triple majoring in Theatre, Business Management, and German. Prior to his start at the Mabel, Lucas supervised the Ticket Office at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Saint Paul, MN. Lucas’s theater experience extends beyond just the twin cities, having managed the Performance Center at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in Winona, MN as well as serving as the Box Office Manager for the Minnesota Beethoven Festival.
Lucas has grown up on the Mabel Tainter stage as a performer and is thrilled to be able to serve the theater that gave him so much in the past. “The Mabel is truly one of the most majestic theaters in the country and I am grateful to have the chance to help the Mabel transition during this pandemic to find new ways to serve the community and plan for the day when we can do live performances again.”, said Chase.
“We are so grateful that Lucas has chosen to step up and serve during this extended intermission at the Mabel. With his experience, forward-thinking mentality, and knowledge of the community, Lucas is the perfect person to help the Mabel navigate these difficult times during this pandemic.”, said Andrew Mercil, President of the Board.
Lucas Chase started his new role on Monday, August 17th, 2020 and will be training with outgoing Executive Director Jeff McSweeney, whose last day is Friday, August 21st, 2020. ... See more
